I had wanted to share, to say that I've been there before.
To help overcome that fear.
Because for all the tongue-lashings, put downs, degratory words I got from some of my previous bosses, despite the resulting paranoia that they will do something to me or my loved ones once I leave, nothing happened.
Because there is something called the LAW [specifically the Employment Act 1955 (EA 1955)], and bad bosses are only so because they take advantage of (and plain bully) their defenceless employees who are (quite often) ignorant of their rights.
Yes, its as simple as that.
Educate yourself. Know your rights. Buy a copy of the EA 1955, read it, understand it. If you don't understand it, get someone who knows it thoroughly to explain it to you.
