How I Deal With Stress

Stress?

What stress?

Tinkling the ivories melt away the blues, and listening to beautiful music played by talents brings deep seated joy.

Each little knit and purl unravels all worries and pains.

Crocheting stimulates my brains.

Not forgetting the excitement of stocking up!

Sewing brings calming memories of Ma Ma (paternal grandmother) sitting quietly in her corner of the living room, sewing well-worn patches of everyone's clothes back into life as a quilt blanket.

And there's always expressing myself through brushing, stippling, painting, sweeping.

And immortalising on paper things I see in front of me, from my mind's eye, or from beautiful memories. Composing poems, stories, blog entries and any old thing that pops into mind.

When all else fails, I run for the trees. And sit quietly under their protective branches, their lush leaves sheilding me from the hustle and bustle of the world. Cloaked with dew, lungs bursting with fresh-air goodness.
