Wanted to post something of importance here a 3 seconds ago, and totally forgot about it!
Oh yes, now I remember!
Recently introduced two of my friends (of opposing genders lah) to each other. My only reason was to pep them both up in terms of self-confidence, instead of them dwelling in their misery. Being the dumper or the dumpee is no joke.
Eventually nothing came out of that meeting, but was pretty happy they met anyway. And my girlfriend regained her self-confidence. :)
On my side of the story however, I got a lot of side comments, some being:-
1) I actually want to date my guy friend. I was just using my girlfriend to ask him out;
2) I will end up being asked out by my guy friend. Refer to point #1;
3) I will end up being a lou ku poh because it will take away my "match/mate luck"; and
4) Why should I kay poh other people's lives when I should be concentrating on my own (non-existent) love life.
People can be quite creative when they want to. *grins*
